A different asethetic.

Oh my goodness, I am the worst. I'll start with the excuses blah blah blah. Life has been so busy in the last few months and I've had no routine which is a big factor in how motivated I am plus my motivation was completely destroyed due to some personal issues as well. To sum it up i had no routine and I have recently started year 13 at school so I've got a routine back but it's been busy. But I've recently realised that life is always busy so I just have to get back on the horse so to speak.

So okay, with that over I can get into this post properly. Since getting my new Doc Martens I have changed my style slightly. Instead of going for classic shapes and colour I have been branching out into a slightly 90s look. Not really sure it is but that's people have been calling it. It may be because I need to wear comfy but stylish clothes for school or maybe because we are getting into autumn so I can wear darker colours. Autumn is my absolutely favourite season because I can cover up and not be over warm.
But I try hard not to follow the mainstream trends religiously because I don't want to look like every other person because I use to clothes to show who I am, so there is no point trying to look like some other girl who doesn't know how I feel because then how are people going to know the real me. I apologise for the wishy washy whatever ness of that but to be honest it's how I feel.

This outfit is something I've been wearing recently; the black polo neck is lovely and simple and doesn't take away from the beautiful embroidered flower pattern on the primary skirt. One of my dear friends also has this skirt so we did the mandatory cute matching photo. I know couple goals or what?  Anyway I bought these knee high black socks from Amazon to make the outfit slightly quirky. I've only done this because I've recently come across some self confidence therefore I've been able to be more myself and not care what certain people are thinking. I've had truely awful self esteem for all my teenage years but I've been working on it so hopefully it means I can really express myself without anxiety kicking in.

What are you looking forward to wearing during autumn?

Got the blues.

A colour that has never failed me yet is blue, I have blue eyes, it describes how I'm feeling a lot of the time and it just looks great. Blue blue blue. I just love it. Anyway you get it.
I'd been looking for some cigarette cut trousers which I found on Miss Guided. I was surprised because I rarely shop at Miss Guided, but I will defently make an effort to look there more often.
I have been wearing them a lot since I got them.

This is my favourite outfit I style with them because you can never have enough navy blue. Right? Well maybe you can so I like to break it up with a simple white shirt and my Kurt Geiger shoes.  This outfit is inspire red by my Pinterest scouting I've been doing lately. I really like the chic street style that I see on the great Pinterest, but I try to make it more me so I stuck a bit of green in there and my Amnesty International badge even if it isn't particulay fashionable.

Even though the weather can't decide what season it is, I have. I will be spring like even if it snows one weekend and then is sunny the next. I brought the milkmaid braids back for spring because I went the whole of winter so it's about time. This was the first time I'd done them in months so the braids are looking a little ruff, but that can be solved with some practice. And with the weather if it's cold then my coat can keep me warm, but if it gets sunny and can just whip my coat of and be nice and cool. Best of both worlds.

The shirt and bag is from Primark while the coat is from NewLook. I also have a necklace that was made for me which is the word 'Brigid' which I absolutely adore because I never have anything that is personalised with a name like Brigid. And having your name on your necklace is handy if anyone has to spell my name so it's good for everyone involved.

What colour do you like wearing?

Fun auntie and neice time.

Blue trousers.

Classic Trench coat.

I recently bought this trench coat because a lot of my coats are heavy winter ones, so I needed one that I could wear going into spring. I found it in Primark and it was £15! I had to buy it straight away and I've been wearing it ever since. It is so versitile and practical as well as being effortlessly chic even when I don't. (Which is basically all the time!)

I was chuffed with Primark that I wanted to do a full Primark outfit for the post which was very easy since I alredy had a nice selection to choose from. I really like wearing this white blouse because it really lifts even a simple pair of jeans, but I mostly just like to tuck it in to a skirt. I couldn't believe the skirt when I saw it because it looked so not like typical Primark.
The material is so thick and gorgeous to wear and the colours are perfect for each other. However it is a little short so you have to give a little tug down your leg. This may just be because of the way it sits on me as I have large hips, but never the less I love it.

I'm afraid I slightly lied when I said it was all Primark as my scarf and bag are not. The scarf is my usual Foxford when that I talk about in every post and the bag is from accessorise which I talked about in this post. But I really wanted this outfit to be one that I wear everyday so I would be lying if I wasn't wearing my trusty scarf. This trench coat is defiantly going to become a staple like my scarf.

Have you had any good January purchases?

Garish Christmas jumper?

'Tis the season to wear jumpers. Tra la la laa la la... Anyway it's getting closer to that time of year: Christmas!! I love the traditions surtounding Christmas like family gathering together, celebrating the birth of Jesus, the food and of course the jumpers. I've uploaded it a bit early, because I'm going to Ireland for a couple of days where there is no internet.

At school we had a Christmas jumper day to raise money for charity which is great as it is fun and for a good course. I already had one jumper, but it's more of a jumper dress, so I really wanted to purchase a new one. At the moment Primark is filled with jumpers from more traditional ones like mine to the most garish things you will ever see. Even though the funny fake Santa belly jumper made me laugh, I really wanted something I could really wear everyday. Therefore I went for this reindeer pattern jumper which is a wool blend, do it may not be the softest, but it's defiantly comfy,

I think the colours are so me,because I wear a lot of dark blues and burgundy, so the jumper is perfect for my wardrobe. Hopefully I will wear it for many Christmas' to come and if not it was only £13, so I won't feel like I've poured money down the drain. There is such a mixture of different Christmas jumpers in Primark that I would strongly recommend you popping in to have a look.

Do you have a Christmas jumper or do you leave it to others to embarrass themselves like me?

Winter Style. Arboretum.

So its December and windy which means everyone needs a nice warm winter coat. I've already spoken about this one in a previous post, but I wanted to show another possible outfit that is comfy to wear in the day time and is warm enough that it keeps the wind off.

My sister, niece and I went for a walk in the local, beautiful Arboretum, so because my sister is amazing at taking photos: she very kindly tries to make me look photogenic. Her blog is here.
This outfit is mostly Primark which makes it really affordable when you are at sixth form age and you don't have a lovely paying job.
I bought this bag from Accessorize in September and it has served me well so far. I use it as a school bag, because even though it doesn't look very big its like a Tardis when I need to fit all my textbooks in.

My pinafore dress is not something I would usually go for, but I think I've made it work. I love it for school, so I can look a bit different from other people, but still not stick out too much. Again, I'm wearing my Foxford scarf and black boots. These are not the same boots as the last post, because they decided they no longer wanted to be together in one piece. These are from eBay like the old ones and are just as robust.
The jewellery is also from Primark; I mostly prefer jewellery that is small especially for school.

What winter outfits do you usually wear?

Autumn leaves style. November

Hello, how are you? I'm sorry that this post is late. but we had unforeseen visitors, so I didn't have time to do anything. We also have visitors today.so I put his together as quickly as possible.

In England it is obviously cold at the this time of year, so walking to school at 8:30 am is not always pleasant. I love coats and I love getting a bargain in Primark, so when I found this Camel coloured boyfriend coat at £25 I was over the moon I wasn't quite sure at first however my sister said it looked great and I trust her opinion. It is so warm and cozy.
I'm wearing my trusty green jumper again (I do wear other clothes I promise.) and my grey skirt from H and M which is also worn on a regular basis. I think it was about £3.99 or something like that from their amazing basic range. It is so nice to have a shop that can just offer me good quality basics in one place and at a good price.

My scarf is one of my favorite items, because it from the Foxford woolen mills in Co. Mayo in Ireland where I spend my holidays every year. The Mill is a museum and a beautiful shop full of quality and carefully made items. They are worth their price every time, because they will last a lifetime. My mum bought a throw for her friend for a wedding gift 20 years ago and it is still going strong even after dealing with family life and everything that comes with it. When she visited us in Ireland she then bought three more for a child to have as they grow up. I cant speak highly enough and I really want to buy another.

After the previous photo. Leaves everywhere,

Trying to make a leaf angel.

Have a lovely day. What have you been keeping warm in?

The coat and jumper can be found at Primark.
