A Fresh start.

Hello there, lets start again. My name is Brigid and I love to blog, but I almost fell out of love with it, because I had become so busy that I didn't give much thought to it. I had no inspiration and, therefore, wasn't making time for it.

However, we can all have a fresh start. I want my blog to be fun and more personal, so people can enjoy reading or just looking at the pictures. My fresh start is beginning with a new look which has been created by my very talented boyfriend who has worked so hard, so hopefully it is easier on the eyes. He has really inspired me to try harder because I think we both believe that you get out what you put in. I have lots of things planned for this year, so I hope you stick around to see. I thought it be nice to share some things about myself, so we can get to know each other better.

I am a 18 year law student.

I am also a bartender, hence why I get so busy, but I can make a good cocktail, if I do say so myself.

I have traveled to Australia and New Zealand. New Zealand reminded me a lot of Wales, to be honest, and I think everything in Australia wanted to kill me.

I reached grade 8 ballet which I am pretty proud of. I still love to dance, but my Pointe shoes are currently in a draw waiting...

My boyfriend said that I need to say I love cheese, because he gets to live with my addiction. Give me cheesy nachos and I'll be your best friend.

Welcome to my jumper and jeans capsule wardrobe world with hints of lipstick and Disney.
I post every Saturday and on special occasions.

What I'm wearing.
Beauty and the Beast socks.

My new makeup; L'Oreal.

I haven't talked about beauty in ages, but recently I've bought new products that I want to talk about and I love watching those makeup videos on Instagram where the ladies are beautiful and talented so I've been desperate to do beauty post! Both my Rimmel foundation and concealer ran out at the same time which is useful because I like to have the same concealer as my foundation.

I looked around my local boots and swatched a lot. My hand was covered in different foundations! My favourite foundation was the L'oreal True Match foundation, because of the consistency which suits my dry skin and the range of shades. I enjoyed being able to match my skin tone so well. The only problem is this shade is more my summer skin than my pale winter skin, but I always blend it down my neck to avoid the horrible foundation line, but its blenability (definitely not a word) is really good.
The coverage is about medium and I would avoid layering it to avoid the 'cakey' look, however the concealer is not high coverage. Its slightly annoying because I really need the coverage, but this would be perfect for other people who only want a little helping hand.

I love the powder! As a blogger I used the Rimmel 'stay matte' which was all the range a few years ago so I loved branching out into other products. I would really recommend it as a change as its so smooth and has a lovely finish to keep the shine away.

And now my favourite purchase! This wasn't exactly necessary but I treated myself to this stunning red lipstick so I can be ready for the festive season. I was actually really impressed with its staying power even after eating.

Have you bought anything recently for the winter time?

What's in my bag?!

This is a post that ive never done before and I couldn't understand why. For one it's a classic post that I've seen bloggers and youtubers do and another reason I can't belive I haven't done it, is that I love seeing what people have in their bags! I'm so nosy when it comes to these things because people can keep the most random items in their handbags.

I've layed out all the items I had in the bag I'm using currently with the exceptions of some random old pieces of chewing gum (obviously not chewed. Ew) that I thought would ruin the image slightly. I have the usual things like my purse which is from new Look. I love it because it fits everything in. (I mean receipts and not money because I'm pretty poor) Phone and ear phones are standard as well.

I'm really not sure why I always have sunglasses with me when I live in England but I'm ever the optimists. Something you might not know about me is that I love reading and it's my favourite hobby. However I find it hard to find the time to really enjoy a good book so I always carry one with me on case the opportunity arises. At the moment I'm reading 'We need to talk about Kevin' which is written my the mother of a boy named Kevin who committed a school shoot up in America. To avoid making this into a book review, it is an interesting book to because of the way it's written and that you get to see a different side of a well known news story.

Who else is a compulsive list maker? Because I definitly am. My anxiety means that I obviously worry a lot but knowing that I have written everything down really calms me so I keep my trusty Flamingo note book that is full of scribbles and lists.

Finally, a makeup bag in a women's handbag is not unusual but I try hard not to pack everything. Instead I keep the necessities like concealer and eye lash curlers which may not be a necessity to someone else but my eye lashes are short and straight which I don't like. At the bottom of my bag I found a couple of hair pins and hair bobbles left over from God knows when. Another thing I feel unable to leave the house without is my hand sanitizer which is a gorgeous smelling one from The Body Shop. (At the moment its satsuma) all with that smelly thing I have a miny of one of my favourite perfumes which is from Dior so we donto have any bad scents while out and about.

Over all I'm pretty impressed with the lack or hoarding I have even if I did take a sweet wrapper out as well. I hope you've enjoyed having a nosy in my bagarden.  What do you always keep I  your bag no matter what?

Baby Benefit.

So this isn't supposed to be a Christmas thing since that has been and gone, but I really wanted to talk about these adorable as I call them 'baby' Benefit products. I'm a little biased because Benefit is my favourite makeup brand. I think it is so fun and creative as well as providing amazing results.
I've never used any of these products before, but now I know whether I wont to purchase the full size versions.

"That Gal" and "Bad Gal" are my favourite by far. Not that I don't like the others because that is far from the truth, but I just don't wear blusher because I have very pink cheeks anyway so emphasising that is not a good look for me.
Back to the favs; I have really dull skin at the moment so That Gal is like a highlighting primer to give your skin a glow without it being shining in all the wrong places. I've been through a few mascaras over the years, but Bad Gal is amazing! It completely fans out your lashes and I've never had a mascara applicator that curls my thin straight lashes.
I hope you are having a fantastic New Year.

This years suede skirt.

Autumn autum autum! I'm obsessed! I've spent today running around in leaves and being very childish. I'm dressing as autumnal as possible. Using colours of the leaves to plan my outfits and it also helps that my hair is dark auburn so that's pretty autumnal.
However I am someone who gets cold easily so I layered up. With an oldy but a classic; this Primark camel coat that comes out at this time of year because it is so oversized that I can really snuggle up in it and especially with a scarf. I can cocoon myself.

Not only am I feeling good about being able to go outside in basically a blanket I'm also digging the good old suede skirt out. This is my new one for the year because the one I wore last year no longer fits, but I had to have this essential piece for my wardrobe because its so autumnal, (I'll stop saying autumnal now, I promise.) classic and just is in without being a hyped up trend that will end in two months. I've proven this by wearing it two years in a row, Maybe three actually, I cant quite remember.
Yeah I love everything in this outfit from my Heart necklace from my best friend to my handy green bag that is big enough to fit my stuff in it, but not so big that its just annoying to carry around. However my favourite part is the plain and boring black t-shirt from Primark. It was £3 and its the perfect plainess to go with my pretty skirts. It doesn't over power the other patterns because I don't love standing out with crazy patterns.

Whats your favourite season to dress in?

Top, coat, sun glasses, and bag are from Primark.
Skirt from Tesco. (Who would have thought Tesco? It surprised me)
Boots from Amazon.
Scarf from Foxford Woolen Mills.
