"If you like piña Caladas"

I appologise for the bad tittle but I couldn't help myself and I get that song in my head every time I use these Body Shop products. They were a gift from my best friend as a little joke because we sing that song a lot and because she knows I love all things body shop.
I have annoyingly sensitive skin so I have to be careful about what products I let come into contact with my skin. I never need to worry about the body shop even though it isn't as natural as lush some would say. But I truly forget this when I smell of cocoanut and pineapple and it's very enjoyable having family and friends asking if anyone else can smell cocoanut and I can say smugly yes that's me.

I am not new to the body shops famous body butter so I'll keep it simple; ifs you want to be mouterized and smell delightful then this is for you. I really love the sorbet even though it's not something I would pick but I've really used it a lot due to its beautiful consistency. It's like a mouterizer that will soak into your skin and is a real treat for your skin. I actually used it when shaving just because it was near to me and I'm very glad that it worked very well, but that is definitely not what it is meant for so maybe don't try it.

Finally this body scrub is beautiful. It's so smooth and soft which is not what you look for in a scrub but seriously people. It's perfect. I'm fed up of having my skin scrubbed red raw when I just want to exfoliate one layer and not all of my skin. It's like a cream with small pieces that gently get rid of your dead skin and of course you smell amazing after. I would recommend using this product before shaving because our skin goes through some hard work so when using razors you should use something that's kind to your skin and won't irritate unnecessarily.

What skin products do you like?

Crabtree and evelyn.

Hello, my name is Brigid and I have an addiction. My addiction is to the brand Crabtree and Evelyn. My Mum has always been a fan so products having been round our house all my life, but it is in the last couple of years that I've started paying attention to them and I'm so glad that I did.

If you don't like smelly (as in good smells) products then these are not for you, but for those of you that can appreciate a lovely scent like rose (mmmmm...rose) then these are defiantly for you. I love the hand mousterisers as I can take them anywhere with me because of there practical size, but don't be decieved because just because they are not huge doesn't mean that they don't last forever. Okay forever is an exaggeration, but a little bit really does go a long way.

The picture below showing a dot of it on my finger really is how much you need to spread across your hands which mousterisers them fully. I do have to warn you that you may look weird when you keep smelling your hands after applying one of the scents. Citron is a personal favourite of mine. I hope I've persuaded to at least look at the lovely Crabtee and Evelyn website.
What do you like to carry around in your handbag?

"On Wednesdays we wear pink."

I'm sorry for that cheesy reference in the tittle, but I am a big fan of Mean girls. Last Wednesday my friends and I actually did wear something pink. That's when I found out that I don't own many pink items, probably because I grew out of the 'wear all pink' stage about 10 years ago. But now I think that pink shouldn't be seen as childish colour, but a colour a mature women can apsaloutly rock!

This wasn't meant to be a pink rant, but a spring favourites, so here I go; I have spoken about the amazing Benefit Roller Lash mascara before as it is wonderful however I haven't worn a lot of makeup in the winter months because my skin needs a rest with the cold weather which results in me getting dry skin. Yay. Not. But I have stuck to this trusty mascara, because it doesn't leave clumps, it stays on all day and I don't have to scrub my eyes red raw to get it off.

The second thing that I've been wearing everyday is my personalised 'Brigid' necklace because it is so nice to something with my unusual name on. And I prefer silver to gold so that is a plus. On the end of my name there is a little star which I think is so cute.

Bargain alert! These cool sunglasses are from Primark and were £1! I'm very bad with sunglasses because I either lose them or sit on them . Yes I'm an idiot, but I don't have to be too disappointed if either of those situations occur because I've only lost £1, but on the other hand I still want to lose them because I think the shape are funky and different with a retro vibe going on.

I haven't spoken about this Jimmy Choo perfume in a very long time, but It has continued to be a favourite so much so that I'm worried that I'll run out too quickly so I'm rationing it. I'm afraid I can't just go out and buy nice perfume any day of the week due to my budget, but I'm enjoying the nostalgic smell which reminds me of a bubble bath my mum had when I was little. It probably doesn't smell like that at all but that's what I think of when I put it on.

What are you favourites for spring?

Xx

Got the blues.

A colour that has never failed me yet is blue, I have blue eyes, it describes how I'm feeling a lot of the time and it just looks great. Blue blue blue. I just love it. Anyway you get it.
I'd been looking for some cigarette cut trousers which I found on Miss Guided. I was surprised because I rarely shop at Miss Guided, but I will defently make an effort to look there more often.
I have been wearing them a lot since I got them.

This is my favourite outfit I style with them because you can never have enough navy blue. Right? Well maybe you can so I like to break it up with a simple white shirt and my Kurt Geiger shoes.  This outfit is inspire red by my Pinterest scouting I've been doing lately. I really like the chic street style that I see on the great Pinterest, but I try to make it more me so I stuck a bit of green in there and my Amnesty International badge even if it isn't particulay fashionable.

Even though the weather can't decide what season it is, I have. I will be spring like even if it snows one weekend and then is sunny the next. I brought the milkmaid braids back for spring because I went the whole of winter so it's about time. This was the first time I'd done them in months so the braids are looking a little ruff, but that can be solved with some practice. And with the weather if it's cold then my coat can keep me warm, but if it gets sunny and can just whip my coat of and be nice and cool. Best of both worlds.

The shirt and bag is from Primark while the coat is from NewLook. I also have a necklace that was made for me which is the word 'Brigid' which I absolutely adore because I never have anything that is personalised with a name like Brigid. And having your name on your necklace is handy if anyone has to spell my name so it's good for everyone involved.

What colour do you like wearing?

Fun auntie and neice time.

Kite Nest. Natural and Pampering.

In my local area there is an amazing brand that I really wanted to share with you. It is called Kite Nest.  Their products are 100% natural which is important to me because I think your body is natural, so you should try to put other natural things on it.

I'm not sure if I can pick a favorite, but it may have to be the body butter which has a lime and clove scent. As the products are natural the scent is not overwhelming which is great for me because I can get head aches from extremely pungent smells, but this is just perfect. As well as trying it myself to give you a honest review, I also asked my mum to use it. Body butter is her holy grail product that she swears by and has done for decades; so I knew she had more experience to give it the best review possible. To be honest she really loved it! My mum uses the same brand all the time, so she has enjoyed a little change. She said that this body butter soaks into the skin quickly, is mousterizing without being greasy and I completely agree. Kite Nest's body butter is defiantly a favorite of mine now especially as it is still cold so the product really does wonders for my dry skin.

I have two Kite Nest lip balms which have Orange and Spearmint scents and their consistencies is not too wet which I really dislike as it makes my lips sticky, but these balms just give a lovely layer of moisture, so you don't have to deal with the hair stuck on lips on a windy day situation. They are easy to put in any pocket or handbag for the day or you could just leave one on your bedside table for night time. As they are completely natural I am not worried what I'm putting near my mouth, because like I said before we need to look after our natural bodies. I would defiantly recommend the orange scented one because it is so yummy and fruity. None of these products are tested on animals which is a fantastic thing as many of my favorite makeup brands unfortunately don't have the same amazing ethics.

Last, but not least I wanted to talk about the body scrub. I haven't used this product as much as the others as you don't need to scrub your body everyday, but I have been so impressed with results it has given me without rubbing my skin red raw which is what most body scrubs do. The mixture is Himalayan salt and nourishing oils that leave your skin soft and smooth. And who doesn't want that?

I know these products will be used up quickly because they are so pampering and relaxing to use; you can look at these and other products here.
What are your most pampering products?

Selfish for Miss Selfridge.

Even though it hasn't been autumn for a while I still love sticking an autumnal colour in my outfit. In the sale I was browsing in Miss Selfridge which is always full of beautiful items. I spotted this green skirt from across the shop. (Does that count as love at first sight?)

I fell bad to say that I wear this all the time, as I say that sentenced way too much, but I really do! I wore this top in my very first blog post so it's nice to know that I'm still enjoying it and it wasn't a pointless purchase. I really enjoy wearing simple and casual outfit which is really what I wear everyday since I no longer wear a uniform, but what is even better is when the outfit I scomfatable. Even though it doesn't sound very fashionable, but why not feel great as well as looking great?!
This dark green skirt is so comfy because it it stretchy and so well fitting.

All the other parts of this outfit is very unusual. I promise that I will stop wearing this coat and scarf in future posts as I'm sure you're quite bored of it as I am! But as this outfit was for a walk I wanted to stick to a well known look for me. Im sorry that this was a boring post this week.

Classic Trench coat.

I recently bought this trench coat because a lot of my coats are heavy winter ones, so I needed one that I could wear going into spring. I found it in Primark and it was £15! I had to buy it straight away and I've been wearing it ever since. It is so versitile and practical as well as being effortlessly chic even when I don't. (Which is basically all the time!)

I was chuffed with Primark that I wanted to do a full Primark outfit for the post which was very easy since I alredy had a nice selection to choose from. I really like wearing this white blouse because it really lifts even a simple pair of jeans, but I mostly just like to tuck it in to a skirt. I couldn't believe the skirt when I saw it because it looked so not like typical Primark.
The material is so thick and gorgeous to wear and the colours are perfect for each other. However it is a little short so you have to give a little tug down your leg. This may just be because of the way it sits on me as I have large hips, but never the less I love it.

I'm afraid I slightly lied when I said it was all Primark as my scarf and bag are not. The scarf is my usual Foxford when that I talk about in every post and the bag is from accessorise which I talked about in this post. But I really wanted this outfit to be one that I wear everyday so I would be lying if I wasn't wearing my trusty scarf. This trench coat is defiantly going to become a staple like my scarf.

Have you had any good January purchases?

A bright colour in a dull winter.

Since I found my perfect nude lipstick, which I talked about in this post, I wanted to branch out. My sister and I went browsing the makeup stands last year for fun. I get nervous when it comes to really bright colours, but I just went for it. My sister kindly bought it for me for Christmas. She is the best.

I now love wearing it especially to brighten these miserable gloomy days. And the consistency is so lustrous and mousterizing which is great for me, because I get really dry lips. Not only is the feel of it perfect the smell is delicious. I can't wait to wear it in spring because the pinky coral colour is so bright and cute. The shade is 14.

Because it's Yves Saint Laurent it does make it special to me and I love to take care of it. I don't have a lot of high end makeup and this is such a great place to start with this lipstick.
