PROM!!! Getting ready.

Since I haven't written a post in while, because of limited internet accesss while I was on holiday I wanted to do an extra one this week.
This week was special to me because I had my first prom. The night was fantastic, perfect and nothing went wrong. I spent the day getting ready with my mum, sister and niece helping me. (By helping I mean watching The Vampire Diaires with while I got ready and eating all the snacks.)
I woke really early by accident but it meant I had loads of time to get slowly ready.

I think my make up was quite simple. I stuck to the products I know well and use often so I'm not going to talk about them too much. My eye shadow was blue ish to go with my dress and eyes. I didn't use use blusher as my cheeks are pink anyway so I didn't want to look like a clown and I didn't wear bronzer so my skin was even all over because I'm not very tanned.

For my hair I washed in the morning while having a baths with a karma bath bomb from lush. I dried it then put it in Velcro rollers and dried it even more. I have them in all day (hoping no one would come to the door) then when I took them out I back combed to get the best volume for my hair. I curled my hair then I tied the sides into knots and pined them. I know it sounds weird, but I explained here. I finished off with Jimmy Choo perfume.

Over all I was really pleases with the finished look. If I had any tips to give I would say keep it simple and to what. you know. Don't try I new foundation on the day and try not to go overboard with the layers of make up you apply. You will look beautiful no matter what.

I will put pictures of me ready for prom and my next post tonight, so have a look.
Hope you're having a great day.

Happy birthday to me!!

Hello, it's my birthday. Yay. I'm mentally a 6 year old when it comes to birthdays; I'm soooo excited. This is only going to be a short post. I wore a huge badge with 16 on so everyone knew it was my birthday, because I love attention on my birthday.

Well I'm turning a pretty average age, nothing really life changing but I love it anyway. My friends and family are fantastically perfect, they got my really thoughtful presents that are very suited to me. Chocolate. I'm so happy. I love chocolate so much! I just wanted to say how grateful I am to have friends like that.

I've had a lovely day (minus the morning maths exam) I went to a local fun farm with my little niece which basically meant I could really immature. I've just been to my favorite restaurant  which is pizza express with some of my family. The day has been perfect and especially with the sunny weather. I'm currently tucking into home made birthday cak. Yum yum.
What do you like doing on your birthday? Are you an attention seeker like I am on the day? :)
 Bye bye.

Simple hair knot style.

Hello, hope you're having a good day. I've recently started doing a really easy hairstyle where my hair is down but the front section are out of my face which I love for school. You only need a brush or comb and a few hair slides depending on how thick your hair is. I need one for each side because of my thin hair but sometime a few stray strands need to be pinned.

You start with your hair brushed or you could curl it if you wanted, whatever you like. Take a triangle section from the front then split it into two strands. Tie a normal knot with them and pull them as tight as you want.

Once you have tied a knot add more hair to the two strands and tie another knot then pull it tight as you want. Pin the strands to your head. You can hide the pins under the knots you have made but it takes a fiddle and a bit of practice.

It should hopefully looked a bit like these pictures but the good thing about this style is that you can change it to suit you.
Have fun with it.
